ABOUT ME
I, Timothy Jenkins, owner of Timothy Jenkins LLC, am a lifelong resident of Billerica, Ma and have been in the construction industry for 15+ years - These 15+ year include working with friends and family during summer breaks and on weekends when I was still in school. I come from a large family and am a 4th generation " Nail Banger". Last year, I replaced a roof for a client that my father replaced 20+ years ago, which was a first for me but probably not a last. I started my business in 2018 and have been fortunate enough to still be here today!

This question can be both easy or hard to answer. The EASY answer is what you see on everyone's website: Professional trained staff, free estimates, quality materials, licensed and insured, and my personal favorite "LIFETIME GUARANTEE". Let's touch on the lifetime guarantee - The only roofing system that is proven to last a lifetime is a slate roof! A slate roof can last 100+ years easily. A metal roof may last 50+ years. A rubber roof can last 40+ years with proper maintenance. A three-tab shingle roof has been proven to last 15-25 years and its new and improved brother, architectural shingle roofs, last 20-30+ years. So, yes, it depends on the product and installation, but it more so depends on the elements in which it lives in. We tear roofs off of houses everyday so, if they lasted a lifetime, then that would be bad for business. In my opinion, yes, shingles and underlayment have improved but not enough to guarantee an asphalt roof will last a Lifetime! Now, I am not trying to knock my competitors, but I realize that those easy answers don't make my business any different.

I have spent countless hours installing all types of different products and many more researching the products. I also attend roofing, siding, and building trade shows often to stay up to date on the latest industry standards. I attend education courses to keep my construction supervisor license up to date and gain knowledge on the newest codes. I am also one of very few licensed Forensic Roof Inspectors with the National Roof Certification & Inspection Association. To gain that license I had to pass a course on every roof system in the USA including the ones that we do not use in the Northeast. The information that I gather is passed onto my crew and on to you and is reflected in my work.
